PHOTO OF THE WEEK #30 - "Were you talking to me?"

I realized that Maggie the dog gets featured on my Photo of the Week project often, and even Sachi the new kitten has shown her cute little face on here.  But my poor old cat...... I don't think I've ever had him on here (and if I have, it's been very rare).

Yes, he is old.  He turned 17 last September.  I'm pretty sure he's deaf now and I'm surprised he hasn't had a heart attack when the kitten sneaks up on him, jumps on his back and puts him in a choke hold.

Nisei has become more friendly as he's gotten older.  He never used to show his face when company was around.  Now he comes out looking for some rubs and maybe a treat or two (that is...if he realizes that there are people in the house).  He has that horrifying loud meow that you can hear, I swear, at the neighbour's place.  He's always sleeping on my side of the bed when I want to crawl in it.  And finally, his fur gets tattered looking so quickly these days and is always falling out.

But, he's a part of the family and things would not be the same without him and we all love his funny, quirky and even annoying ways.

Poor Maggie.  She absolutely LOVES bouncing through the snow.  She was looking a bit sad when her walk was on a dirty road and muddy grass once again.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #28 - Happy To Be Out Sledding!

When the neighbour called to see if Ben wanted to go to the Conservation Area in town to go sledding with his kids, he was all for it!  The hill is way bigger than our little front yard hill.  He had a lot of fun.

You can't look much happier than this....

His smile is kind of 'gummy' and his eyes are 'squinty' but I love it! :)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #27 - SNOW!!!!

It's a bit sad that today is the last day of my Christmas holidays with Ben at home from school, as it really was a nice holiday this year.  He's not too happy to be going back tomorrow.  I'm happy to be getting back to work though.  Lots to do and I'm eager to get moving.

It was tough picking the photo of the week from last week.  There was so much going on between Christmas activities, doggie playdates in the snow and Ben's birthday party....... what to chose.....what to chose......

OK, this is the one!

Looking forward to getting things underway for 2013.  It's going to be a busy Q1.  Can't wait!
