Really?! Photo of the Week #52? It's been a whole year already? WTF?! How could that be??
So I had hoped that for the final photo of the first year of my Photo of the Week project, I'd have something spectacular to show. Well, that is not the case.
What did I take photos of last week you ask? Some rocks and a snake. *sigh*
So here it is, the final photo of the first year of my Photo of the Week project. This little fella was found by Ben in the garage.
Even though it's not a spectacular photo, it will remind me of the day when Ben discovered a snake in the garage and called at me to come quick because it was an emergency...and to bring my camera. :))
To be honest, I can't believe I actually posted a picture every week. Maybe I should try a Photo of the Day project next. Ummmmmm no. I don't think I'm ready for that. At least not today. :)
Thanks for looking!! :)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #51 - "Sitting down on the job"
There is one thing that warms my heart and frustrates me to no end, all at the same time. What is it thing? Or rather....who is it? It's my 6 1/2 year old.
While Junior B ball is not as painful to watch as T-ball was the past two years (don't get me wrong....T-ball was cute as well), and his listening and paying attention skills have improved quite a bit, he is still the loudest and most disruptive on the team (and the youngest) *sigh*.
His coach has patience like you wouldn't believe. Thanks goodness for that or Ben would be 'benched' even during practices!! ;)
I only wish I had gotten the shot where Ben was in the outfield and actually leaning against Coach's leg because he was too tired to stand on his own. *sigh* Yep. He's all mine. :)
Thanks for looking. :)

CLIENT SHOOTS: Lukas
This past weekend I had the opportunity to do a session with Lukas. He's an awesome guy and Ben's favourite swimming instructor. :)
These shots were taken either on his family's property or at spots local to the area. The skies were threatening rain, but it held off for us. Here are some of the shots from the session.
I love getting shots by the tracks :)
I've been wanting to use this brick wall for months!
This is the same photo with a bit 'darker' processing. I'm not sure which version I prefer. Thoughts anyone?
This is another spot I've been wanting to stop and try a few shots at. It was a nicer spot than I thought it would be :)
There are a couple of others that I also added to my Facebook Page Client Sneak Peak album. So if you're not a follower on Facebook yet, check it out!
Thanks Lukas for being so patient during the session and with my assistants that morning :) Your full proofing gallery will be ready soon.
And thanks everyone for looking.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #50 -
I think I have a new favourite picture of my little guy. :)
I brought him along to a photo session on Sunday and of course had to get a few shots of him. When I showed him the picture and asked him if it was cool. He said 'yeah...can I see the pictures of my sandcastle that I built?'. Yeah, I guess the idea of 'cool' differs slightly between a 6 1/2 year old and his mother. :)
I'm not sure what title to give this one. Any suggestions? Leave a comment here or on my facebook page.
I think I might get this one blown up onto either metallic paper or onto metal. You can click on the photo to view it larger from the gallery it's in.
I know, my watermark is dreadfully HUGE! I have to create some new watermark files to use over the next little while, so you'll see those soon. I'll have more time to take care of details like that soon. (More details about that in an upcoming post) ;)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #49 - Planting Hands
OK, no flowers last week, BUT......still the outdoor/natural theme. ;)
I'm surprised his hands are so clean! The white paper is carrot seeds on 'tape'. Way easier to plant than trying to space out those tiny seeds by hand.....especially when the hands are attached to a 6 1/2 yr old.
I have so many photos to post and so many things to blog about. The only thing I don't seem to have is the time to get it all done! Soon! I promise. :)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #48 - So Alive
Far too often I feel like I'm losing the battle and just can't keep up. The past few weeks have been like this, hence the sparse blog, facebook & twitter posts. Luckily, I decided to do my Photo of the Week project. It at least keeps me posting once a week :)
I think I must be in a floral phase. Perhaps I'm just inspired by the beautiful colours in the gardens and fields at this time of year. Even the weeds catch my eye at this time of year.
I think the reason I like this over others I took is that while you see the brilliant purple petals of the flower that is so alive, right below it is a sign of what's to come. It reminds me that life is short and how important it is to enjoy and make the most of it before it's too late.
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look :)
