GETTING ORGANIZED: Finally, another 'unveiling' \o/

Do you ever have so much on the go that you have troubles knowing where to begin? Or you seem to be crossing things off of your list, but the list never seems to end as things are added faster than they are removed?

I feel like that pretty much every day these days!

But at least I know I AM accomplishing things, even if the pace isn't as quick as I'd like it to be right now. It can be very overwhelming, but as long as I keep the ultimate goals in mind, I somehow keep moving ahead.

There is so much to catch up on and so many things to sort through.

You may recall when I announced my new logo back in November. Lara Vujanic worked on my design and I was so excited to share it with everyone. :) Well, a few weeks later she finished a web banner for me. I've been waiting to try and make updates to my overall colour scheme, etc. for my blog and web site before I launch the banner, but I decided last night that I just can't wait any longer! I decided that I just have to move ahead and put it up and sort the finer details out as I go.

So if you look up at the top, you'll see the new banner. :)) Thanks so much Lara for the awesome design. I LOVE it and how it ties in with my logo!!

Here's a version of it for this post:

I'm actually going to also be creating a physical banner with the same design for something I have coming up in March. I'll have a blog post soon about that exciting little event, but if you follow my facebook page, you should already know what I'm referring to. ;)

So thank you again Lara! And if anyone is looking for design work, I can put you in touch with her. :)  You can also see some of her work here.

You may have also noticed that I expanded the width of my blog.  I wanted to be able to display the photos in a larger size, so from now on you should hopefully be able to see the photos better right here on the blog :)

Thanks for looking.

{I usually try and keep things pertaining to only one label, but I can't decide if this is about "Getting Organized" or if it's more "On The Business Side". So I'll title it about "Getting Organized", but I'll label it with both labels since it does have a hint of Business. ;) }

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #34 - Anyone need a light? ;)

I took a lot of photos this past week. So tough to pick one for the Photo of the Week!

The mom of a friend of ours was lucky enough to carry a torch in the Olympic Torch Relay. So guess what?! We got to do a photo shoot with it on the weekend.

HOW COOL IS THAT?!?! :)

I think this is my favourite because right now, he doesn't really understand the whole Olympic games thing, but in a few years, I'll bet he thinks it's pretty darn cool that he has a picture of himself with that torch!!

"Anyone need a light?"

Thanks so much to Dave & Corinne for inviting us over to do the pictures and special thanks to Dave's Mom for letting everyone be photographed with the torch!

Thanks for looking :)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #33: Future winter Olympian?

"Aren't you going to come out and take pictures of me, Mommy" was what I heard my 6 yr old calling out to me. He said the magic words! LOL

We have a small hill in the front yard that is perfect for kid sized sledding and boarding. We picked up one of those just for fun snow boards with the handle on the weekend (on sale! BONUS!!). He absolutely loves it.

Future winter Olympian? Uhhh NO. (Shhhhh don't tell him I said that!!!!) :-x

PHOTOGRAPHY FOR FUN: Family Day Studio Fun

Family Day in Ontario. A day off of the 'day' job. Woohoo! :) Time to spend with the family and for me, extra time to keep working away on photography projects. The best part was that when I got on a roll last night, I could stay up until 2:30am because I didn't have to worry about getting up before 5:30am! Got to sleep in until almost 8. \o/

I had to catch up on a few product shots for Procyon Wildlife and my 6 yr old was happy to pop down to the studio to help me out. :)

Helping change the background colour in the photo box

He waited patiently while I took the few shots I needed to take and then he wanted to set up some of his stuff to get photographed.

"Let's take pictures of my guys"

So he lined them all up and voila!

Some of his favourites from Ben 10 Alien Force

Featuring....Ben 10

Now featuring....HUMONGOUSAUR!!

It wasn't a long time, but was fun to share it with him. And I think he had fun too. I know he'll love seeing his guys on my blog. :)

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #32: Peace and Quiet

I'm a bit late with this one for week 32. Fortunately, since it's Family Day tomorrow in Ontario, I don't have to go into the office. So here I am catching up after midnight. It's nice though, because it's quiet. Everyone else is in bed! That means I can get a lot done. :)

There wasn't a lot of picture taking for week 32. I was too exhausted after getting home each day. Maybe I wasn't the only one.....

PERSONAL: Thank you Tom Smith

I wanted to give a shout out to Tom Smith of 'Tom Smith Towing & Recovery' in Schomberg, ON.  He recently provided me with some assistance and although I didn't believe it when I was told he would be there in a half an hour......30 minutes later he showed up!! :))  He was professional and a pleasure to deal with.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK #31: Hold on tight

On Sunday I had to stop over at Procyon Wildlife to drop off some product samples and pick up a few more to photograph for their web site. My 6 yr old came with me and he LOVES animals.

Cynthia has a pet ferret and it didn't take Ben long to find it. He was hesitant at first to hold it, but that wore off quickly. Of course, he wants one for himself now.

"Hold on tight!"

Looking at this photograph reminds me of how excited he was to actually hold a ferret and how excited he was to see all of the dogs, cats, squirrels, raccoons and even the porcupine (although he did find that one a wee bit scarey!).  I didn't think I'd ever get him out of there!!

This picture is definitely worth a thousand words.  <3

Thanks for looking!
